how does clear aligner treatment work?
Clear aligner treatment is a simple, non-invasive process. After Dr. Foote completes a thorough review of your x-rays and photos to determine if you are a good candidate, they will take a 3D scan of your teeth and bite to create an accurate image. Not only does that mean no messy impressions, but the advanced technology ensures your aligners will fit perfectly. The technology has the added benefit of being able to show you what your finished smile will look like, using state-of-the-art imaging software to accurately predict the movement of your teeth.
A few weeks after your initial visit, you’ll receive your aligners, and will wear each one for one week, for 20-22 hours a day, removing them only to eat, brush, and floss. As you progress through each set, your teeth will gradually shift. Every now and then you’ll come into the office so we can monitor your progress. You can have the smile of your dreams!

Today we better understand sleep apnea and airway-related issues and have realized many of these issues stem from underlying discrepancies in the jaws. Aligning the jaw correctly, re-establishing the proper width of the upper jaw, we can help to open up the airway. Thus, helping patients breathe better, sleep better, and experience a greater quality of life.
Palatal Expansion is not just for children! While surgery is sometimes needed, adults can now be expanded non-surgically using Maxillary Skeletal Expansion (MSE). The Maxillary Skeletal Expander is placed with only local anesthetic and is held in place by 4 temporary implants in the palate. This is an unbelievable option to improve airway and respiratory function, open nasal cavity spaces, allow space for the tongue, and relieve crowding issues and crossbites. By expanding the upper jaw you are increasing the airway space. This greatly benefits those with sleep apnea, fatigue, breathing problems and difficulty sleeping.
